Update 03.17.2006

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Let's hope everyone was able to start the day off with 2 pints of beer as I did before work.-Charlotte

We're excited to announce the new Letters section. We hope you like it, if there any problems please report via the feedback page.

The new Letters section opens up in a different page. For those with Firefox/Mozilla it may be best to right-click and open the page in a new tab. Otherwise it may be blocked by anti-popup software.

We've also replaced the ForgetmenotPanties with Smartatlove.com We highly respect the author's writing and would like to share with all of you.

We also want to thank everyone who's contributed to the project. Like a newborne it's at its infancy we need careful nurturing and caring. Don't let us be another statistic in the nation's infant mortality rate. Please tell more people so we can grow big and strong!

-ThanksForEverything Staff-All two of us! (Philip und Charlotte)

What it's all about

Relationships- they are an inevitable part of life! Sometimes the experience isn't quite like an episode of "Dawson's Creek" or a reinactment of "The Notebook". Lets face it, despite what seems to be popular belief, LIFE ISN'T A MOVIE! We want to hear about your real life experience. Have you had someone break your heart? Are you being leadon or used? Did you stalk someone? Let them know how you feel. We want to read it. Sometimes you do not always say the first thing that comes to mind. Let what you never said be said. In hopes to get positive feedback (letters) from you, the letters received may be compiled for our project.

Inspiration

Hell Hath No Fury, edited by Anna Holmes, was the inspiration behind this project. Women from all different time periods wrote letters to their ex-lovers for all different reasons. Telling off a past partner, declining a proposal, saying goodbye; they all explain their relationships from start to finish; why it ended and questioning why it ever began. The editor than weeded out the good from the bad and made a book that other women could empathize with. After reading some of the letters, the book seems to be geared towards an older audience. Our goal is to broaden this spectrum. Why not have a similar idea opening it up to both males and females in today's relationships and situations? Yes, guys too. Believe it or not, some guys do have emotions! Another goal is for the project to be appealing to people of all ages. If there is something we all have in common depite age or gender, it is love/hate/lust.

Reasons to writing a letter:

* Had your heart broken
* Tired of being in a bad relationship
* Say what has always been on your mind about certain someone
* Need closure from a past relationship
* Want to tell a persistant creep/slut off
* The professor you sleep with is sleeping with another student (Seriously! Send letters about current or past student/teacher relationships. Withold all names to ensure privacy)
-
* Or maybe you already wrote a letter your proud of, and would like to see it on a our project.

Thank You!

Snail mail or e-mail us! Just make sure you include your age and name (*). Please, please, PLEASE do not include the last name of the person you are bashing nor, anyway for others to contact them. Just have fun with this and let your emotions get the best of you if they must. Exaggerations are not encouraged but wit and sarcasm are! Your letter may even give others insight into their own relationship so please write us.

We look forward to hearing from you! And thank you in advance for your contribution to our project!

*If you are not comfortable with giving out your last name at least give your first.
